FAQIR HUSSAIN versus IBRAHIM

Interpretation of sections 2, 3 and 4 of the Punjab Muslim Personal Law (Shariah) Act, 1975, amended sections 2, 3 and 4, a woman immigrant belonging to India was allotted in exchange for her husband's property in the India Act. There was a limited interest in the property. Extending a fixed period under the common law where the time limit under the common law had already expired at the commencement of the Act; V. Additional Rehabilitation Commissioner PLD 1968 LA 234 and Babu Ali Mohammed vs. Mahmoodul Hasan PLD 1968 LA 329 were abolished by Additional Settlement Commissioner (Land) Sargodha vs. Mohammad Shafi and others PLD 1971 SC 791.
