Appointment of new staff to open the Octroi Post Petitioner as a Municipal Committee Contractor in Section 6, petitioned the Committee to issue an injunction against the Committee that the Committee appoint new staff to open the Octroi post at certain locations. Held, the petitioner argued that under R6, it is a municipality. The relevant committee, which has the authority to supply octroi posts within or without the municipality, may be required for the review, collection and administration of the octroi, but the appointment of staff made by the chairman of the committee There was a violation of government policy. The need for the establishment of disputed octroi posts arose because appropriate letters had already been established, the applicant further claimed that due to the contract issue it was already incurred losses as a contractor to collect the octroi. And any further action by the Committee will be taken. Defrauding the interests of the applicants, the applicant was forced to withhold that the applicant's position as a contractor at the appropriate place for the recovery of the octroi by his own staff or by the staff appointed by him. Anyone can complain about the establishment of Octroi posts but has been kept under contractor supervision. At present, it is argued that the petitioner had already suffered heavy losses due to short intervals on the existing octroi posts as he was the only one to seek relief from the committee during the contract currency or after its commitment. The treatment was saved.
