The complainant affected the arrest of the accused but was not a witness to the incident. The identification parade took place after 14 days and the circumstances in which the accused was in police custody provided sufficient grounds for further investigation. I was in jail for a year and more than three months and the investigation into the case was finalized, the accused no longer needed. The defendant was granted bail in the circumstances for any further investigation
