Regulation 19 State Bank of Pakistan Officers (Pension Cum Gratuity) Regulations, 1980, Regulations 2 (i) and 4 State Bank of Pakistan Act (XXXII of 1956), section 54 (1) [as amended by the State Bank of Pakistan (Amendment) Act ( The Constitution of Pakistan, Arts 185 (3) and the 199 voluntary Golden Handshake Scheme, 1997, were introduced in Circular No. 9 on 23 23 1997 for the purpose of improving its composition and performance. ? Existing employees pay for the retirement benefits available to them under the 22nd Lawn by 1997, by offering voluntary remuneration to additional employees as compensation, in addition to other general benefits, to the full and final settlement of the various levels. The option of 1400 employees has been accepted. After six years of pension benefits claim by some employees before the Compensation Appeal Service Tribunal that their use of such an option was terminated and they appeared before the retired tribunal. The High Court accepted the constitutional petition filed by the applicants for its proposal before this competent forum, while instructing the bank to pay their total pension costs irrespective of such scheme bank. Applicants chose to voluntarily leave the bank upon acceptance.
