S. 307‑Appeal to Supreme Court against conviction under section‑Bail pending appeal refused on ground that heavy sentence had been imposed by High Court -Early disposal of appeal instead ordered.

‑In view of the substantial sentence of seven years' rigorous imprisonment awarded to Raja, petitioner, by the High Court under section 307, P. P. C. we see no adequate ground to release him on bail, but direct that on the completion of the paper book the appeal be fixed for hearing at an early date.
Bail refused.
