It has been said that because of this, farmers did not get water at the end of the canal. Most of the water was taken by the upper republics, the provisions of the Sindh Irrigation Act, 1879, had to be strictly adhered to so that no one could infringe the rights. For others, as farmers were earning their living to protect themselves and their families, which was the basic right guaranteed under Article 9, the provincial secretary of irrigation presented a report to the court. To which he stated that he had visited all the water outlets. That all possible steps are being taken to resolve the applicant's complaint. The tampering was stopped in the water shops, and it will be strictly monitored that no violation of the Sindh Irrigation Act, 1879 was committed, the District Police Officer (DPO) told the court. A fresh FIR has been filed under Section 430, PPC, and police officers have been instructed to cooperate fully with the irrigation department and take immediate action on their complaints.
