SAMI SALEEM BHATTI versus FEDERATION OF PAKISTAN THROUGH SECRETARY MINISTRY OF INTERIOR, ISLAMABAD

Arts 199 and 38 Constitutional Application Gender Identification Disorder Surgical Treatment of Permit Grant of Impact Petitioner filed a constitutional petition asking for permission to seek surgical treatment through a generic surgery that identified gender identity disasters. The order has been re-assigned to the Petitioner for surgery. Surgery was available but doctors were reluctant to perform the operation as they faced some legal and social complications unless respondents of the High Court allowed the required medical treatment. They have no objection. At the risk and cost of the applicant, the High Court directed the respondents to dispose of the constitutional request by directing them to seek medical care.
