MAQBOOL-UR-REHMAN versus GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN, MINISTRY OF FINANCE
Section 17 amendments to the Balochistan Service Tribunals Act (v. 1974), Section 2A & 4 Constitution of Pakistan (1973), Arts 199 and 212 Constitutional Amendment Right to Pay Scale, which was announced by the Government during 2001, denied applicants. They challenged the refusal order as the applicant, who was an employee of a company wholly owned and controlled by the Government of Pakistan, came under the scope of S: 2A of the Balochistan Service Tribunals Act, 1974, The High Court had no jurisdiction. Deciding on this matter cannot be termed as exasperating except for the five applicants who, on the other hand, received voluntary retirement under the separation scheme. And their constitutional petition was not authorized. Claiming an increase under the revised pay scale
