And then the investigation is authorized although the accused may be persuaded to agree to an agreement without pressure or threat but under the provisions of the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999. It was neither the responsibility nor the duty of the investigating officer and the NAB authorities to compel the accused to enter voluntary withdrawal if the accused was voluntarily exposed before being allowed to investigate. If offered as a return on assets or profits, such an option would force the accused to enter into voluntary return. Investigating for the convenience of the accused, the investigating officer took the initiative and was given the opportunity to settle the matter through voluntary withdrawal because the accused did not meet the requirement for voluntary withdrawal and failed to submit payment according to the consensus, Therefore, the defendant, who has rightly passed an order authorizing the NAB investigation, failed to identify any illegal situation through the NAB petition, in which case he was dismissed.
