Failed to pay for maintenance. The decision of marital rights was subject to payment by Dover in favor of both the courts and the care of his wife. Where the husband refused to pay the dower on demand, the legal imperative for such non-payment was that the wife would cease to live. It was supposed to take care of her during the separation period, but the social status of the husband and the level of legitimate financial resources were essential factors in determining the amount of maintenance and cannot be ignored by both courts. Worked The evidence was appreciated and thus the husband granted a decree restoring the marital rights in favor of all.
