Section 52 (1) Election Request Maintaining an Election Request in which an election filed by a person who was not a candidate for the relevant constituency was affected, under section 52 (1) of the Public Representation Act 1976 It was explicitly ordered that only the candidate could register. Under the aforesaid section, the petition was not legally upheld in the present case for seeking an election applicant, not being a candidate for the election of the respective constituency, which was inappropriate for the election. That should be it. The applicant has been returned when it was presented to the Election Commission, in which case the Election Petition was not workable and accordingly it was withdrawn.
