Section 497 (2) Contempt of Conduct (XLV of 1860), Section 302/34 bail, grant of further inquiry has been in custody for more than 3 years and has not yet resulted in any other than the alleged confessional statements of the accused. There was no acceptable evidence. The trial was not yet to be decided whether the confessions filed by the accused were voluntary or not and whether the confession was a crime or an excuse is a fit under which section 497 (2). Further investigation is needed. On the nature of the confession to the PC and the nature of such inquiry, the accused was, in the circumstances, admitted on bail.
