TAJ WALI versus STATE
Section 9 (c) Constitution of Pakistan (1973), Article 185 (3) 1000 grams of weight allegedly recovered from the accused, who confessed to the recovery of only 2000 grams of marijuana from his possession at the time of the charges. And in that statement under section 234, the CCP reiterated the point that such admission was sufficient to convict the accused, even in the absence of any other evidence, but instead to make it legal. He was given the perfect opportunity to dismiss the felony trial that he had so far failed to do. Recovery of 2000 grams of marijuana was also a sentence of life imprisonment. The two courts below rightly agreed that the accused had committed the crime and accordingly the accused was refused to appeal.
