GULAB versus THE STATE
The Pakistan Penal Code Section 337 D&337X accused was released on bail with a promise to pay Throne within three years. Also, he was illegally imprisoned in a prison. The position of paying the throne or providing security equal to that amount was due to the accused being financially weak. I was not, otherwise he would not be in jail after his expiry. The defendant's weak financial status was also supported by his inability to consult a lawyer before the High Court, in which case, with his brother's guarantee to be released on bail on a security bond. The order was given. The payment to the trial court's satisfaction, with the promise of payment within a period of three years from the date of the arch, failed, in which he was to be re-arrested.
