The charges were dismissed by this ruling. The verdict was not submitted by the accused for police verification, the superintendent of police was directed to finalize an inquiry into the matter within the next ten days, especially given the decision made by the Chief Settlement Commissioner. Keeping in mind, the investigating officer was dealt with in the meantime to prevent the arrest of the accused applicants.
