MUHAMMAD SALEEM versus YAQOOB HUSSAIN
Punjab Local Councils (Election Petitions) Rules 1979 r RR 5 (2) and 9 Constitution of Pakistan (1973), Article 199 Constitutional Petition filed before the applicant petitioner Election Tribunal regarding the settlement of various petitions. The petition filed for dismissal was heard. It was dismissed on the basis that the defendant requested more than one relief in the same petition, followed by another petitioner's claim on the basis that the defendant had more than one. Because of this, a separate security should have been submitted through it. Each relief, even the valid orders approved by the Election Tribunal, were rejected. The petitioner's requests did not affect the entire issue while the Election Petition was implemented. Intervention was not called. The stage when the election petition was still pending petitioner, however, if advised, could challenge.
