HABIB BANK EMPLOYEES\' UNION versus REGISTRAR, INDUSTRYWISE TRADE UNIONS
Sections 8, 22 and 25 of the Industrial Relations Ordinance 1969 were registered as trade unions by the National Industrial Relations Commission, but its registration was challenged by a local union in the High Court. Had suspended the order. After the suspension of the Registration of the National Industrial Relations Commission, no trade union for the Establishment employees has yet been designated as a Collective Bargaining Agent (CBA) by the National Industrial Relations Commission. Unless such certification or registration is granted, the local union will continue to perform its functions as a local collective bargaining agent, industry-trade unions, to hold voting for employees in any area. Registrar for, suspended action initiated by trade unions was not considered legitimate.
