RAFIQUE ALAM versus DEPUTY SETTLEMENT COMMISSIONER, SIALKOT
In the first round of disputed property and displaced persons law (repealed) Act 1975 Section 2 (2) Settlement Scheme VIII, paragraphs 6 and 7, the High Court clarified terms to the Deputy Settlement Commissioner in the first period. It was directed to ascertain whether the applicant was in possession of the disputed section of the land on or before the crucial date, December 20, 1958, instead of following the directions of the High Court, the Deputy Settlement Commissioner requested the deputy applicant.
