ABDUL MAJID QURESHI versus ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN
The Corporation Employees (Special Powers) Ordinance 1978 Article 3 Constitution of Pakistan (1973), the provisions of Section 3 of the Article 203 D Ordinance are in conflict with the integration of Islam as contained in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Pakistan was urged to take steps to amend the law in accordance with the relevant principles of Islam by August 31, 1989, failing which section 3 would be enforced.
