This is a petition under section, 561‑A, Cr.P.C. for quashment of proceedings pending against the petitioner by way of a private complaint at the instance of respondent No.1 under section 380/392, P.P.C. in the Court of A . C . , Lahore. The name of learned counsel for respondent No.1 has appeared in the cause list but he is absent despite the case was called. It is an old matter of 1975 and learned A.A.‑G. has no objection if the proceedings are quashed. Since it is an old matter no useful purpose will be served to proceed against the petitioner after lapse of a period of ten years. In that view of the matter the proceedings pending under the aforesaid sections in the Court of A . C . Lahore are hereby quashed. This petition is disposed of.
