‑‑ Art. 199 (1)(a)(i)‑Direction to do something required by law -Petitioner student of College applying for admission to same College in next higher class on 13‑12‑1978‑Respondent (Principal) fixing date for admission for College students up to 13‑12‑1978 and for outsiders up to 15‑12‑1978‑Petitioner failing in various attempts to secure admission‑University extending date of admission in all affiliated Colleges up to 28‑12‑1978 on payment of late fee‑Held, respondent (Principal) applied double standard for admissions to College i.e. one for students of College and another for outsiders and keeping admission for outsiders open to a longer period and such course definitely disadvantageous to students of same College for not having been treated at par with outsiders‑Independent policy of her own for admission to College adopted by respondent (Principal) in disregard of extension granted by University, held, without lawf4l author ity‑Respondent directed to accept and dispose of petitioner's application for admission.
