MASOOD AHMED versus FEDERATION OF PAKISTAN THROUGH SECRETARY, MINISTRY OF INTERIOR, ISLAMABAD
Section 2 Constitution of Pakistan (1973), Article 199 Constitutional Petition was upset by a memorandum issued by the officials to the Exit Control List Petitioner under which it was named in the Exit Control List, unknown to be named. No basis was given in the memorandum to record the contents of the applicant in the Exit Control List, which shows that any case against the applicant in any court is pending, on behalf of NAB officials. Only the investigation, which seems to have been going on for a long time, will have no ground for it. Depriving the applicant of his constitutional right as an independent citizen of Pakistan. And there was no reasonable basis for which he could be barred from traveling abroad. The unknown name, under which the applicant's name was placed on the Exit Control List, was set aside.
