Article 199 Constitutional petitioners claim marriage harassment by police Applicants feared that they would be harassed by police, although they were protected but did not appear in court. The police were instructed to act in accordance with the law and if protection was sought by anyone, then the law should provide protection if a case was registered against the applicant in connection with the claimant's marriage. If it was done then it should also be resolved according to the law. No one and no one should be arrested in the FIR unless the police have enough material available to justify such arrest. The constitutional request is dealt with accordingly.
