Sections 497 Customs Act (IV of 1969), Sections 2 (s), 18, 32, 32A, 79, 80, 156, 157 and 178 smuggling, false statements, financial fraud, etc., the defendant's denial of bail. It was demanded that he be kept under house arrest for more than a year. And in order to obtain the third provisions of section 497, CCP, relating to the delay in trial, the trial was not terminated; the delay in the trial was not committed by any of the accused or any other person. On his behalf, the accused repeatedly forwarded the bail pleas before the trial court as well as the High Court. And in the process it seemed more anxious to release the accused's bail, rather than the end of the defendant's bail plea, using his time well, in which case he was excluded.
