Section 497 of the Criminal Procedure (XLV of 1860), Section 302/201/34 bail, was arrested on 24 2 2006 for delay in trial and was in constant custody since then in support of the prosecution. Had examined the testimony of the complainant and a prosecutor. The complainant did not involve the accused in the cross examination. Given the difficulties caused by the unusual delay in the trial, the High Court found it a suitable case in which the accused should be shown to be involved.
