MUHAMMAD IFTIKHAR versus PUNJAB PHARMACY COUNCIL THROUGH EX-OFFICIO CHAIRMAN
Sections 30, 29 and 25 (2) of the Constitution of Pakistan (1973), Article 199 Constitution Petitioners stated that they had the required qualifications to be registered as Apprentice Pharmacists under the terms of the Pharmacy Act 1967. That they were not registered, as the recognized registration process was closed for more than a decade by the Provincial Pharmacy Council and they had the required qualifications regarding age and educational qualifications as specified in Section 30, Pharmacy Act 1967 and The right to take part in the next examination held by the Council under Section 29 of the Act. The High Court The High Court directed the Council to hold an examination on or before a fixed date for registration as a pharmacist. Registered as an Apprentice Pharmacist listed in Section 25 (2) of the Pharmacy Act, 1967, and has the other qualifications under section 309 of the Act mentioned above, as described in this section. None of the applicants for the Act or Rules made will be denied the right to sit in the test on the basis that they were not registered as apprentice pharmacists, as such registration was admittedly closed. ?
