A compromise application was filed for sections 345, 435 and 439 of the Criminal Procedure (XLV of 1860), sections 302 (b), 311 and 324 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (XXVII of 1997), section 7 (1) (a) The trial court rejected Syed's request to allow the parties to compromise, stating that although section 302 was a PPC compound, it was filed under section 7 (1) of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 (A) Under which the accused was also convicted and sentenced to death. Although not compoundable, the accused was convicted of committing a crime under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
