Sections 17 and 156 (1) (8) of the existing Import Policy Order, 2000 2001, CHEP 87 Section RO No. 1374 (I) / 98, dated 17 12 1998, detention and confiscation of goods, section 15 of customs or section 16 Violation of the Imported Act, 1969 Vehicle Old and Used Auto Parts, release of such seized goods upon completion of section R requirements. The appellate tribunal dismissed the order and directed that the seized goods be released to their legitimate owners on payment of duty and tax payable to them. On the condition that these goods be cut into pieces / pieces in accordance with the requirements of Section RO 1374 (I) / 98, which will be dated 17.12 1998, at the expense of the appellant before his release.
