NIB BANK LTD. versus PRESIDING OFFICER, DISTRICT CONSUMER COURT, AT SIALKOT
Section 27 Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finance) Ordinance (XLVI of 2001) Section 7 Jurisdiction of the Consumer Court in relation to matters between a financial institution / bank and its consumer users / complainants in which it has paid all Demand for bank to pay off permanent installments of auto vehicle, however, despite repeated requests, the bank did not release the said vehicle registration book and banned further transfer of vehicle ownership, the consumer court told the plaintiff bank. Directed to pay the fine. The bank user / complainant stated that the matter falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Banking Court under the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finance) Ordinance, 2001, and the consumer court had no jurisdiction in the matter. There was no objection to the option. The Consumer Court had set up the bank before the Consumer Court was handed over to the Consumer Court in connection with the specific circumstances of the case.
