RR 71 and 77 Constitution of Pakistan (1973), Article 199 Constitutional Appeal The filing of the election petition without giving necessary notice to the respondents was a failure of the previous proceedings against the applicant candidates, who filed all the required candidates after filing the election application. Did not give advance notice. Under R71 of Punjab Local Government Election Rules 2000, the Election Tribunal dismissed the petition to comply with the requirement of the applicant's law stating that the earlier proceedings against the respondents have been initiated, therefore, not to send the notice. The failure was corrected when the legislature was obliged to file the election petition to send a copy of the petition to the applicants who were made respondents in the election petition, before the filing of the notice was to be sent before the filing of the election petition. Failed to put on record postal receipts for display. Sent to respondent
