R83 Punjab Local Government Election Ordinance (v. 2000) Section 14 (e) Constitution of Pakistan (1973), Article 199 Constitutional Petition Disqualification Candidate's eligibility was challenged by the Election Tribunal on the eligibility of the candidate who withdrew the election. That the candidate was not matriculate, the objection was dismissed and the papers were nominated and the appeal against the order of acceptance was dismissed. Notification was made which prompted the authorities to notify the returning candidate Was verse. The Election Tribunal notified the retired candidate and declared the applicants as retired candidates as they secured the second highest vote. The Chief Election Commissioner directed the District Returning Officer to inform the applicants and get fresh elections. The candidates raised by the decision were disqualified. After the election, the applicants stood elected and did not need fresh elections. The Validity Petitioner did not mention in his election petition that the elector was unaware of the returning candidate, nor did the election petition suggest that disqualification was infamous and that it was ultimately the constituency. Who had the right to elect anyone of his choice and the entire machinery of election law worked for the purpose in the absence of any allegation against the voters that they would proceed to vote for a disqualifier.
