SIKANDAR versus SUB-DIVISIONAL MAGISTRATE, MATIARI
Criminal Code of Conduct (CCPC) Section 561 of the Sindh Crimes Control Act (IV of 1975), was charged with 14 charges that it was notorious for providing shelter to criminally ill persons and criminals. It was also alleged that he was involved in two other offenses. The charges against the accused in the cases were vague and stereotypical, in which one of the cases in which the accused was allegedly acquitted, he was acquitted and in another case he was out on bail with no witnesses from the locality. And no evidence of it was found. The state prosecutor had no objection to the prosecution against the accused to prove that he was a notorious person or that he had given shelter to the criminals and provided them with shelter and food. Under section 14 of the Sindh Crimes Control Act 1975, proceedings against the accused have been abolished.
