Martial Law Regulation 1972 No 115 Para 18 (3), Constitution of Pakistan Constitution (1973), Article 199 Constitution Petition Exposed Public Purpose Objects and jurisdiction over land were allotted lands in lieu of their refugee claim. The land in the name of the applicant was canceled which resulted in the reduction of the land of the applicant, disposing of the order of the applicants to the land, disputing the authorities in exercise of the powers under para 18 (3) of MLR 115 The government was set aside and the allotment of controversial land was canceled. The public purpose of the legitimate words was to be read in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 18 of MLR 115 and it did not allow the government to assign land to any person whose land was surrendered. Under MLR 64, the government had the power to allocate the resumed land to the tenant or to use it for a public purpose. And the purpose and object of the land reform was to resume land to the landless people, the government had rightly canceled the land allotted to the applicant.
