The accused was not alleged to have been hurt in any way or the victim or the prosecutor's witness was not attributed to the firing of the accused, in this case at the time of the incident. The Code of Conduct, 1898, did not provide such a procedure and Article 63 of the Convention of Martyrs, 1984, prohibited the settlement of criminal cases on special oaths, the involvement of the accused in this case, thus, of further investigation.
