Over a decade and a halflong professional journey i have advocated for the rights of vulnerable, marginalized and sociallyexcluded segments of society, be it in emergency situations or impacts of disjointed policy implementation. In November ****, Nader Tadros founded People’s Advocacy to support the idea that advocacy is actually for and by the ordinary citizen, and to affirm the notion that advocacy goes beyond legislatures and top executive offices. It is rather a means for ordinary citizens to practice and achieve real democracy. We are based in Northern Virginia, USA, within the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. However, since our inception, we have worked with -and learned from- social justice activists from*continents! People's Advocacy does not do frontline advocacy by itself. It rather provides consultations and training to many groups that either are already doing advocacy work, or are interested in incorporating advocacy activities in their programs.
