MANZOOR AHMAD versus MUHAMMAD LATIF
The leases of Sections 10 and 24 of the Government Land (Colony) Act, 1912, were canceled by the defendant under his temporary cultivation scheme for the cancellation of the leased land, for non-payment of the lease money, by the defendant. An appeal against such a cancellation was accepted. The leasing authority for the respondents was terminated in clear violation of Section 24 of the Act, after the cancellation of the defendant's lease, the land in dispute was obtained by leasing it in an open auction. The auction was confirmed in the name of the petitioner before the auction was made in favor of the respondent years before the auction, the rate was high, while the auction in the favor of the applicant was small amount.
