SULTAN INDUSTRIES versus THE AUTHORITY UNDER PAYMENT OF WAGES ACT
Sections 15 and 17 of the Salary Payment Act 1936 (1973) of Pakistan (1973), Article 199 Salaried employees who claim money in terms of gratuity, discounted cash, bonuses, 5% paid under the Partnership Fund and Overtime Authority. Under the Wages Act, their applications were not enforceable under the law. The authority allowed the employer's employer's claim to file appeals within the stipulated period, preferring to file a constitutional petition after a three-month interval, which has been dismissed as a matter of choice. Alternatively taking advantage of appeal, Article 199 of the Constitution cannot be allowed to refer to the High Court.
