Section 18 and 23 (2) of the Land Acquisition Act 1894, the amount of compensation paid by the Collector to the Collector whose land was essentially obtained, was increased by the court, but the claimant, in view of the compulsory nature of the acquisition. Was not given 15% of the market value of the land. Due to an award to the court, such a deficiency had to be paid to the claimant who was entitled to pay more than 3% of the compensation paid by the court.
