ZAFAR IQBA versus BASHIR AHMAD
Paragraph 24 of the Land Reforms Regulation, 1972 (MLR 115) prohibits the sale of any part of a person's hold, sale or gift by any other part which is below the threshold of economic holding. The size of its holding in the area may be less. And also prohibits the individual holding the sale, mortgage, gift or otherwise from any part of the holding. It is also provided that if a person owns more than the salary but not less than the financial holding, he will be separated from the sale, mortgage, gift or otherwise for any part of his holding. In which case the size of its holding may be less than the area covered by paragraph 24, there is no restriction on the individual more than his economic holding to abstain from his economic conduct.
