SHAUKAT HUSSAIN versus MST. RUBINA
Article 8 (3), 20, 227 and 2 of the Muslim Family Law Ordinance (VIII 1961), is equivalent to the suspension of basic rights granted to the people under the Family Law Ordinance, 1961, under Article 8 (3) of the Constitution. This is tainted with a religious purpose given to the ordinance through Article 20 of the Constitution's protection. The Muslim Family Law also repeals the expression contained in the Ordinance, 1961, Article 227, and contradicts the principles and provisions contained in the resolution of the objectives in Article 2A. Constitution of Pakistan
