The applicant is facing proceedings under section 8(3)(6) of the Sind Crime Control Act. The notice was issued on 19‑12‑1982 and the prosecution has failed to produce the witnesses against the applicant. The maximum period of three years has already expired and a person cannot be bound down beyond a maximum period of three years.
