Sections 397, 234 and 561 of the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (XXV of 1997), Section 9C Panel Code (XLV of 1860), Section 57 various matters, but under the same type of offenses and in each of the six cases. In the year RI was sentenced, the trial court did not say about the two cases in the trial whether the High Court could always take immediate action in view of the powers conferred under Section 57. , PPC, in such cases reads with Sections 234, 397 and 561A, CCPC and it would be in the interest of justice if the death sentence in both cases was to go along with it.
