With reference to the Criminal Procedure Code (CR PC) Section 497 (2) Illegal Weapons Act (XXI of 1991), the weapon recovered from the Section 7 bail was neither sealed on the spot nor sent to the expert to know. Whether it was viable or not, even though rifles were recovered from one of the suspects, the cartridges were recovered instead of bullets.
