MUHAMMAD HANIF versus STATE
The Pakistan Penal Code Section 302/395/396 Anti-Terrorist Act (XXVII of 1997), the Section 25 appellate accused which had not pressed the appeal and withdrew it, had merely requested that the sentence be served simultaneously. The order on which the prosecution had no objection. The accused was convicted on two counts, firstly, 2302 (b), life imprisonment and fines under PPC and secondly 95 95, would have to face ten years imprisonment under PPC while committing robbery. If the crime was proved, the accused should have been sentenced. Under section 6396, instead of section 959595 under PPC, the sentence and sentence of the PPC were amended to allow sentences to run concurrently.
