The prerequisite for a claim for exemption from charitable purpose is that the primary purpose of the activity of the organization is to serve a charitable purpose and not to make a profit. The Company does not exempt certain profits from the sale of books, which may benefit the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961, Section 11. (4A)
