MUMTAZ ALI versus DISTRICT RETURNING OFFICER
Section 152 (1) (d) of the Punjab Local Government Election Rules, 2000, Article 16 and 18 of the Constitution of Pakistan (1973), Article 185 (3) denies the nomination of the Election Request in the Appeal for the seats of the Moderator and the Deputy. The nomination filed by the nominee for the nomination of the nominee and deputy nominee was rejected on the basis that one of the applicants was convicted and sentenced to two years imprisonment. Under the consideration of Section 152 (1) (d) of the Punjab Local Government Ordinance 2001, the application for election was allowed to be converted into an appeal and an order was issued with the permission of the applicants to contest the election. \ r \ n
