The officer shall be obliged to register a document if its implementation is listed by the registering officer by its officers, or to investigate the accuracy of the title, possession or contents of the document while registering or denying it. Otherwise the Registration Officer can fix any errors by copying the documents. The books were kept under section 551 of the Registration Act, 1908, but could not amend the documents themselves and so did the Registration High Court, setting aside the unlawful order / endorsement of such power of attorney. Declared illegal, outlawed and without prejudice
